Part Five
Crew Quarters

  • On this level are 18 human survivors that are being mind-controlled by Telepaths.

    • I and Thou. Use Mindjack, Electrostatic Burst, or the stun gun to render them unconscious before they die. They must also survive through the rest of the level.

    • I and It. Kill them however you like, but the fatal shot must come from you, not from the Telepath or from an environmental hazard like fire, etc.

RECOMMENDED PATH

  1. Save or kill all the mind-controlled humans.

  2. Clear the day area and the kitchen.

  3. Clear the cabins and the elite suites.

  4. Deal with the cook.

  5. Return to the Arboretum.

  • I recommend that you save or kill all humans immediately, because they tend to get around and may die otherwise. Read the boxed section below for instructions. If you're not interested in either achievement and/or you don't care about the mind-controlled humans, you can safely skip the next box.

MIND-CONTROLLED HUMANS

  • Main foyer: Popinga, Lake, and Griffith

    • They're walking around slowly and should be easy to either stun or kill without being noticed.

  • Kitchen: Schubel, Larson, Hawthorne, and Klinger.

    • Use a nullwave or Psychoshock on the Telepath in the pool, and then be sure to kill it when it's away from the four humans. This is fairly easy for three of them, but Larson or Schubel are usually near it.

Prey-5-foyer.jfif
  • Fitness Center: Beatty, Quigg, Vu, Benoid, Snow and Stewart in the gym/lockers.

    • In the back of the Yellow Tulip bar, jump up on the metal beams. Drop down into the gym. Stun or kill them one by one as you go down the stairs.

  • Pool: Clausen, Kapoor, London, and Malinaro.

    • Nullwave/Psychoshock the Telepath, then kill it when it's away from the humans.

Prey-5-pool.jfif
  • Recreation Center: Branch. Stun or kill him on the top level by the large table, or on the stairs going down. If you've already killed all the Telepaths on this level, Branch will be already freed.

  • From the Crew Quarters entrance, go right and upstairs. Enter the recycler closet and kill Regina Sellers' phantom. Get the Secured Pharmaceuticals Keycard from her; that's a room in the Trauma Center, in the Lobby, that has some loot and two neuromods. Also find the random keycode for the executive suites grav shaft on a sticky note.

  • Yellow Tulip Bar and Cinema

    • There are three disguised mimics in the bar: one outside (usually a stool) and two inside.

    • Crawl into the maintenance hatch on the far right and turn the power back on.

    • Access the terminal in the DJ's cabin. Play the Neuromod Music Demonstration file. An etheric and a thermal phantom will appear. I recommend you plant recycle charges before you start to dispose of them quickly.

    • Get the Yellow Tulip Supply Closet Keycard from Tizzy, the operator barista. There's loot in the closet.

    • If you want, from here you can access the fitness center/gym/pool without needing the keycode: jump up on the metal beams in the backroom and come down into the gym on the other side through a hole in the ceiling.

    • In the cinema just outside, get one of Danielle Sho's Transcribes from Theater A. Behind a crate in the hallway there's a maintenance hatch that leads to the recreation center.

  • Recreation Center

    • On the lower floor, kill a poltergeist and find a message from a "birthday kid" on a telecom terminal.

    • On the upper floor, kill or stun a controlled human and kill a disguised mimic on the gaming table. On the table are Abigail Foy's Cabin Keycard and Transcribe, Elias Black's Transcribe, and Stabfellow's Map.

      • Treasure Hunt. The map leads to number 6 stenciled in the recycler room where Regina Sellers was.

  • Fitness Center

    • Kill/stun six mind-controlled humans between the locker rooms downstairs and the gym upstairs.

    • Treasure Hunt. Read the emails on Emma Beatty's terminal in the gym to start this side objective. There's also a neuromod nearby. From Emma Beatty's body, get her Transcribe and Rosalyn Swift's Map. The map will lead to number 5 in Cargo Bay B, near the G.U.T.S. access hatch. See full guide here.

    • There is abundant loot in the locker rooms.

    • Talos Smuggling Ring. A dead drop containing two neuromods is in the hallway leading to the pool.

    • Kill/stun four mind-controlled humans in the pool.

  • Concierge

    • Get the fitness center keycode from an email on the security terminal just outside the mail room.

    • Whistleblower. Read and listen to the surveillance reports from the Utilities tab on the security terminal.

    • The Mail Room Keycode is in a note on Anders Kline's bed in the Habitation Pods area of the B Cabins. Inside the mail room are three neuromods and plenty of loot.

  • Kitchen

    • Kill/stun four mind-controlled humans. One is downstairs near the Telepath, one by the kitchen window, and two upstairs in the dining area.

    • Meet the suspicious cook at the kitchen window and collect Will Mitchell's Cabin Keycard.

    • When you leave the kitchen, some of the dead or unconscious humans that were previously mind-controlled have changed positions. This is likely to be a bug, but do double-check that none are dead who shouldn't be.

  • Executive Suites

    • Activate the grav-shaft with the keycode you found on the sticky note in the recycler closet.

    • Inside Morgan's cabin, find two neuromods, some loot, and Morgan's notes on the terminal.

    • Open Alex's cabin with the keycard you found in his safe in the Arboretum. Get two neuromods and a chipset. Kill one or two great mimics that are disguised as objects. There's plenty of food in the kitchen.

      • Who Is December? The EP101 Keycard for the escape pod is under the globe on the left nightstand.

    • The other executive suite has opera singer Argenteno Pero's phantom.

      • With This Ring... In this room you will also find Nicole Hague's phantom in a later objective.

Prey-terminal.png

"A" CABINS

Prey-5-A.jfif
  • There's a voltaic phantom in the restroom at the end of this hallway. I suggest you nullwave/Psychoshock it, draw it out, and do it in with a recycler charge when it approaches the large crate blocking access to Sarah Elazar's cabin.

  • Elazar. Enter via the maintenance shaft blocked by the crate. Minor loot here.

Prey-5-golden.jpg
  • Marks. Open with the keycard you found on Marietta Kyrkos' body in the Arboretum.

    • The Golden Gun. Find the Artemis Golden Pistol from the safe, also with the code that you got from Kyrkos' Transcribe.

  • Kelstrup. The keycard to access this cabin is on Dr. Kelstrup's corpse in Psychotronics. There's minor loot.

  • Igwe. Already unlocked. Inside is a neuromod and a chipset. Later, you will return here for another objective.

  • Ilyushin. Use Mimic Matter on a small object to get in, such as the tumbler from Igwe's room. Minor loot.

  • Mitchell. Listen to his Transcribe, which reveals that the cook is not who he says he is. Get the Chef Award.

  • Restroom. Kill a poltergeist and a mimic, which is typically disguised as one of the red buckets.

Prey-terminal.png

"B" CABINS

  • Thorstein. Keycard is on his corpse in the Hardware Labs. There's a chipset on his desk and the Recycler Charge Fab Plan.

  • DeVries. Keycard is on his corpse in the Lobby. The Secured Pharmaceuticals Keycard that was on Regina Sellers' phantom is also here, on his nightstand.

  • Bellamy. Keycard is on his corpse in the Psychotronics Morgue. In here are three neuromods, a chipset, and some unspecified Morgan Yu Research Data on the terminal, which unlocks a random typhon ability that you haven't acquired yet.

    • The Corpse Vanishes. Entering this cabin completes this objective.

Prey-5-Abigail.jpg
  • Foy. The keycard is on the gaming table in the rec center. Find a neuromod. The terminal password is on a sticky note under the desk. From the Files tab, you can listen to two conversations that have Danielle's voice samples.

    • Treasure Hunt. Once you found all four digits, you'll enter them here.

Prey-5-Calvino.jfif
  • Sho. Kill Ivy Song's phantom. Get a neuromod. Repair a Transcribe on the floor and open a file on the terminal for more of Danielle's voice samples.

  • Calvino. Listen to the logs from his terminal. Smash the large looking glass to reveal a safe. The code is in his diary: 0523. Get three neuromods inside.

  • Restroom. The fitness center keycode is on a note on the bench.

  • Habitation Pods

    • Whistleblower. Listen to Malia Fowles' Transcribe, which you can get from near her corpse.

    • The Lover's Gift. Listen to Lawrence Baxter's Transcribe, which you can get on his bed.

    • Listen to Skye Braxton's Transcribe about the Yellow Tulip show, which you can get on her bed.

    • Find the random mail room keycode on a sticky note in Anders Kline's bed.

  • Return to the kitchen and give the award to the cook. He will open the kitchen for you. Replace the Water Pressure Regulator with the one you got in the Arboretun greenhouse, or repair the broken one that's on the floor.

  • When you enter the freezer, the cook will lock you in. Get a Q-Beam, three neuromods, and a chipset. Also find the real Will Mitchell's bracelet in a bloody box labelled "suspicious meat"...

  • Listen to Abigail Foy's Transcribe from her corpse for the last of Danielle's voice samples.

  • To break out of the freezer, either lift the large ice block with Leverage III or melt it with the Q-Beam.

  • Use the Fabricator in the kitchen if needed and collect some loot.

    • If you let the cook live, you will find random recycler charges on fabricators, medical operator dispensers, doors, and grav shafts. He will also periodically taunt you via Transcribe. See the guide for The Bridge for the conclusion of the cook/Abby/Danielle story.

    • If you kill the cook before entering the freezer, that part of the story ends there.

    • Obviously, you must save him for "I and Thou" and kill him for "I and It," but if you save him now you can always kill him later (or have him kill himself, which won't count as a human death against you).

  • Go to the pool window in the fitness center and hit it twice with a wrench. Speak to Danielle Sho.

  • Leave the Crew Quarters and return to the Arboretum.

Arboretum (again)

  • Destroy all the new typhon that have appeared in the mean time:

    • three corrupted operators on the stairs

    • two voltaic phantoms and two-to-four mimics just outside of the Crew Quarters access hallway

    • one or two great mimics just outside of the greenhouse

    • a mimic and a corrupted operator behind the lift to the Lobby, near the cellar

    • an etheric phantom and a mimic (or greater mimic, often disguised) by the Deep Storage grav shaft

    • a corrupted operator near the G.U.T.S. access room.

  • Gardening Tips. The Superfruit should be ready to harvest it now, so do it. You can fabricate, plant, and harvest the special growth formula as often as you want.

  • Who Is December? You can escape Talos I in Alex's escape pod if you want, but I don't recommend it...............

  • When you're done, leave to Deep Storage using Danielle's synthesized voice.
