Part Six
Deep Storage   and   Cargo Bay

Deep Storage

  • Listen to Alex's call and then to January's.

  • Near Zachary West's terminal at right are a neuromod, a sticky note with Ivy Song's terminal password, and another sticky note with the code to the hallway in the next room.

  • Go to the foyer. Kill a phantom, a disguised mimic, and the Technopath that's about to arrive with two turrets.

RECOMMENDED PATH

  1. Clear the lower floor and unlock access.

  2. Get and mount the drive from the repository.

  3. Clear the upper floor and speak to Danielle.

  4. Fabricate Morgan's arming key.

  5. Eject the vault and launch into space.

Prey-6-booth.jpg
  • There are four ways into the security booth:

    1. Break the glass and shoot the door's power button with a boltcaster.

    2. Same, but use Remote Manipulation.

    3. Obtain the Security Keycard from Danielle Sho's office on the upper floor.

    4. Climb atop the blue cabinets on the right, enter the crawlspace just under the ceiling, and come out inside the security booth.

  • Click on "Grant Access" on the terminal to open the Central Repository. If you have Hacking II, you can order a medical operator.

CENTRAL REPOSITORY

  • Kill a Weaver and a ton of cystoid nests. There's a lot of explosive canisters and other junk, so it's not hard to draw out the cystoids and let them kill themselves.

  • Follow the marker to the Backup Drive, bring it back to the terminal, and mount it.

  • There's negligible loot throughout this entire area, so just return upstairs.

Prey-6-central.jpg
  • Kill a phantom and two mimics that have spawned while you were in the Central Repository.

  • Open the Data Vaults access stairs with the code. Inside is a greater mimic.

  • From the mezzanine, you can jump to the large white pipes overhead and, if you'd like, you can access the entire level from here without having to open any doors... but there are several broken electrical junctions, so watch out..

  • Follow the catwalk to Danielle Sho's office. Inside are a thermal phantom and three disguised mimics. The fuel spills on the floor are useful for the mimics, but the thermal is immune. Since there's many recycle charges lying aroundf, I recommend using one to get rid of it quickly.

  • On the desk are the Security Keycard, a chipset, and two neuromods. On the middle terminal is Melindra's map.

    • Treasure Hunt. Melindra's map leads to number 1 in Fuel Storage in the G.U.T.S. See full guide here.

  • Behind the middle terminal is a sticky note with the random Deep Storage safe keycode. The safe contains the Q-Beam Cell Fab Plan: unless you already got it during your first spacewalk, this is the first time you can get this.

  • From the right-hand terminal, activate the utility that Danielle has just activated. Prepare Data Vault B for ejection.

  • From the left-hand terminal at Danielle's station you can read her last email, download Morgan Yu's Arming Key Fab Plan, and activate/deactivate tracking bracelets.

    • Disgruntled Employee. Enter code 1129 for Grant Lockwood. This completes the objective if you've already found him in space earlier; and if not, you are now able to track him the next time you space-walk.

    • Ghosting Dahl. I recommend that you also deactivate your own, Morgan Yu's, tracking bracelet (0913), for it will keep you from having to return to Deep Storage in one of the many possible endings.

Prey-6-room.jpg
  • Fabricate Morgan Yu's Arming Key. You can also do this much later so you don't have to carry it with you.

    • Perdition. This key is needed for this later objective.

  • The small room next to the Data Vaults is locked right now, but you can enter from the ceiling by jumping up on the blue cables running just overhead. Open the safe with the same code as before and grab some loot.

  • In the Data Vaults, kill a Weaver and some cystoids. There's a neuromod near Akande Benin's corpse.

  • Enter Data Vault B and eject into space!

Talos I Exterior

  • Exit your data vault and loot the one nearby for lots of supplies.

  • Mixed Signals. Look for the Psychotronics Satellite in space: it has a blue light and usually flies at this level. Fly to it and install the antenna from the Hardware Lab. Receive two Transcribe signals to attract or repel the Nightmare.

  • Fly to the lone shipping container near the Cargo Bay hull breach. Listen to Dr. Igwe's call.

Prey-6-space.jpg
  • Fly to the hull breach and kill a lot of cystoids using the junk that's floating in space to attract/destroy them.

  • Fly to the platform at right, listen to Grant Lockwood's Transcribe for instructions, and dock igwe's container with code 2312. Be sure to dock it before you open it, or he will die!

  • There's much loot all over this area, most of it on the corpses. In the office behind the docking terminal, you can open the Security Safe with Hacking III and get two neuromods and the Turrets Fab Plan. While this is not at all essential, it may keep you from having to space walk again soon.

  • Enter the Cargo Bay through the container that Igwe was in.

Cargo Bay

  • Do as Austin Cool suggests and jump up to the catwalk overhead. Meet Igwe and get a neuromod from him.

    • Talos Smuggling Ring. Find a neuromod inside the dead drop above Igwe's head. If you opened all other dead drops, this one completes the objective.

  • Speak to Ekaterina, and then to Rani if she's still alive.

RECOMMENDED PATH

  1. Meet the survivors and speak to Elazar.

  2. Clear all enemies and restore the power.

  3. Collect and deploy three eradicator turrets.

  4. Clear and loot the rest of the level.

  5. Leave to Life Support.

  • Get Austin Cool's Transcribe from the catwalk. Listen to the conversations among the officers and speak to them.

  • Speak to Sarah Elazar in the main office. Get four neuromods and Kevin Hague's Transcribe from the desks.

    • If you already have the turret fab plans, Elazar will instruct you to fix the power. If not, she'll tell you how to get them and give you the safe keycode, and then to fix the power.

  • The password to Gus Magill's terminal downstairs is under the phone on his desk. Open the two cages.

  • Cage 1 has minor loot but also a working turret: place that in front of Cargo Bay Door B.

  • Cage 2 has a neuromod and a new Q-Beam in the red supply crate. Lift or recycle the cargo to enter it.

  • With This Ring... Speak to Kevin Hague downstairs. Get the objective to find his wife in the Crew Quarters.

Prey-terminal.png

FUEL STORAGE AND POWER CONTROL

  • Find some loot on shelves and platforms all around the bay. Don't get burned by the blue fire.

  • Get Gus Magill's Transcribe from his corpse, plus a sticky note with the password to his terminal (which you can already find near the terminal itself anyway).

  • Enter the Cargo Power Control Room, kill a greater mimic that's disguised (usually as a chair), and activate the console by the window to turn the power back on.

Prey-terminal.png

CARGO BAY "A" (LOADING BAY)

Prey-6-A.jpg
  • Kill two phantoms and a voltaic phantom.

  • On both sides of the bay are control panels that you can use to raise the platforms. After the power is back on, use them to raise all platforms, which simplifies access to the docked shipping containers.

  • The container on 6 has a working turret: grab it and bring it up to the catwalk and then to Cargo Door B.

  • The container in the middle of the bay has another working turret, which you can also bring inside. This container can be lifted via a button on the top catwalk.

Prey-terminal.png

CARGO BAY "B" (WAREHOUSE)

  • Place the three turrets you found in front of the door and/or fabricate more at will; three are plenty, though.

  • When ready, open the door with the code from Elazar. Toss a nullwave inside and/or deploy a large-spectrum ability, such as Electrostatic or Kinetic Burst. Then let the turrets and the security officers kill all the typhon.

    • I and Thou. Make sure the typhon kill no one!

    • I and It. Make sure the typhon kill no one... and then kill them all yourself!

Prey-6-B1.jpg
Prey-6-B2.jpg
  • There's a lot of loot in the warehouse. Open unlocked shipping containers with the button. Find a neuromod on Christopher Smith's corpse by the far door.

  • Use Kirk Remmer's terminal to open the unlocked ones. The codes are 1641, 9171, and 8120.

    • Also open 3232, which is in the next room over,; and 0715, which is all the way in the G.U.T.S.

  • Listen to Ash Lasair's Transcribe, which is on this desk.

  • In the next room, lill an etheric phantom. In container 3232, find Quinten Purvis and two neuromods.

    • Whistleblower. Collect Annelise Gallegos' Thumb Drive to complete this objective.

  • Treasure Hunt. In the far left corner, find the number "5," which corresponds to Rosalyn Swift's map that you got from Emma Beatty's body in Crew Quarters. See full guide here.

Prey-6-B3.jpg
  • Use the Recycler and Fabricator if needed, and then exit to Life Support.
