CHAPTER III
Clemens Point and all of Lemoyne, except Saint Denis and the swamps
MAIN STORY MISSIONS AND STRANGERS MISSIONS
MAIN STORY MISSIONS

The New South
-
The second part of the mission (going fishing with Dutch and Hosea) is optional and therefore missable.

Further Questions of Female Suffrage
-
Receive Sadie's camp item request (harmonica).
-
Possible random drops from the Lemoyne Raiders: Lemoyne Raiders Letter and the Military Officer's Hat.

Money Lending and Other Sins IV
-
Hughes. Just recover the debt.
-
Holmes. Sell the cougar pelt to recover the debt. No loot on any of the bodies inside the cave (but negative honor from looting).

The Course of True Love I-II-III
-
Part II. There may be a gold nugget in the saddlebag of the horse near the gazebo in Braithwaite Manor.
-
Right next to the gazebo is the boathouse, where you can find the Marvels #7 card and the Naval Compass for Pearson's second camp item request.
-
-
Part III. Beau pays $12 at the start and $30 at the end.

American Distillation
-
At Macomb's End, by the river, there's a Fauna #9 card on a barrel at the very end of the wooden pier.
-
On your way back to Dutch, before the very end, you have a unique opportunity to hunt some egrets. They always spawn on the island on the right, across the river. Shoot them all in one dead eye with a repeater, wade across, and pluck them for valuable exotics.

An Honest Mistake
-
A Cornwall agent in the woods at the end is wearing a Newsboy Flat Cap, the same as in the Chapter II main story mission The Sheep and the Goats.

Advertising, the New American Art. Nothing.

Sodom? Back to Gomorrah.
-
Your share: $2750, which is surprisingly the largest payout of any RDR2 mission...

Horse Flesh for Dinner
-
Your share: $128.

The Fine Joys of Tobacco
-
Your share: $233.

Magicians for Sport
-
There's a Mine Share in Trewlany's caravan, along with jewelry and some cash.
-
Each of the bounty hunters (2 at the camp, 3 in the cornfield, 2 in the barn) has around $25, for a total of $175.
-
The last hunter in the barn also has the Rare Rolling Block Rifle, arguably the best sniper rifle in the game.

Friends in Very Low Places
-
Your share: $200. This mission unlocks the stagecoach robberies. Obtain the Lock Breaker from Trelawny instead of buying it.
-
Two camp activities (robbing coaches with Bill and Sean) are only available for a very short time, after this mission and before "Blessed Are the Peacemakers." Do them now or they are missable! See the Camp Activities section below for more details.
-

Blessed Are the Peacemakers
-
Your own horse is hitched along with the O'Driscolls' outside. There are usually gold nuggets in their horses, too.
-
If you don't get your gear, it will respawn later when you're in camp and you're not losing anything.

A Short Walk in a Pretty Town
-
The shootout in the gunsmith is a good opportunity to rob ammo and the cash register.

Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern
-
In the first room at left, on the ground floor, is a Gold Shield and a Letter to Angelo Bronte.
-
Return after the mission to find Catherine's Brooch on her body and a gold bar in the lockbox near it.

The Battle of Shady Belle
-
There's a gold nugget in the bedside table near the Lemoyne Raiders leader, in the master bedroom upstairs.
STRANGER MISSIONS IN THIS AREA
The Ties That Bind Us I-II
-
Part I: in the woods just outside of Rhodes.
-
If you choose to turn them in instead of burning the posters, you get to keep all copies of the Wanted Poster and you receive $40 from the sheriff. The rest of the mission is forfeit... however! This mission respawns in the Epilogue thanks to a bug, so you can do the rest of the mission now and keep the posters when it respawns later. (If you do it the other way around, the posters disappear between Chapter VI and the Epilogue).
-
-
Part II: at a makeshift camp north of Dewberry Creek, near Old Greenbank Mill.
-
Part III: in a treehouse in Big Valley, north of Hanging Dog Ranch.
-
None of the missions, except for Part I, have any rewards, items, or activities: only cutscenes.

He's British, of Course I-II-III-IV-V
-
In Part II, the "zebra" can be ridden instead of lassoed or led!
-
In Part IV, collect the Lion's Paw before leaving Emerald Ranch, or it's missable. Use it to get the Lion's Paw Trinket from a fence.
-
Just north of where Margaret's caravan stopped is Dreamcatcher #11, on a tree in the small clearing.
-

The Iniquities of History
-
None of the objects collected from Compson's Stead can be kept, except the slave's Diary with the photo mode glitch. You get positive honor for killing Compson at the end.

No Good Deed
-
Receive the Special Health Cure Pamphlet from Dr. Renard as a reward.
-
The Fauna #9 card is on a barrel on the pier, and there's $20 in a lockbox under the floorboards of the leftmost cabin.

CHALLENGES EASILY DOABLE NOW
BANDIT
-
#2. Rob 2 coaches. Easy to do in the main story mission Friends in Very Low Places and the camp activity Rob a Stagecoach with Bill.
-
#3. Rob 4 stores in one day. Doctor, general store, and gunsmith in Valentine, plus any store in Rhodes. Rob, ride away, return. Easy.
-
#4. Rob 3 coaches in one day. Camp out in any trafficked area, such as just outside of Rhodes, and you can do this very easily.
-
#5. Amass $250 bounty in one state. Easiest way to do this is by shooting a lot of law, so go to a Sheriff's office and start shooting!
-
#6. Steal and fence 5 horses. Camp out near Clive's spot by Clemens Cove, rob a horse from a passer-by, sell it. Repeat. Easy.

GAMBLER
-
#2. Win 5 double-down hands. For best chances, double-down whenever your cards total about 12-15. In fact, double-down pretty much all the time: worst-case scenario is you lose the hand and a tiny bet. The Rhodes saloon is the first Blackjack table you meet.
-
#3. Win 3 games of five-finger fillet. This can be done anywhere and they can be any type of FFF.

HERBALIST
-
#3. Craft 7 items with sage. Sage is found anywhere (tall purple flower), and simple Bitters require only one sage plant each.
-
#4. Pick 5 mushrooms and feed them to your horse. These can be five of the same species. Mushrooms are in all wooded areas.
-
#5. Craft 9 items with Indian Tobacco. Found almost anywhere, at the edge of woods. Potent Snake Oil requires only one plant each.
-
#6. Pick 15 species of herbs. Even if you picked them before, you must do it again. Just ride around and this is done in 10-15 minutes.

HORSEMAN
-
#3. Valentine to Rhodes 5-minute dash. Since the gang is going from Valentine to Rhodes, this makes the most sense to do now.
-
#4. 3,300-feet lasso drag. Best done along the train tracks, such as from Emerald Ranch using one of the station travelers.
-
#5. Trample 5 animals while on horseback. The best animals for this are turkeys: they're slow, found anywhere, and die in one hit.

SHARPSHOOTER
-
#5. Shoot 6 animals without switch or reload. That means also without using Dead Eye, or shooting them all in ONE Dead Eye. A flock of ducks by a river is an easy way to do this; if not, just ride around and kill any six animals, but never holster your repeater.
-
#6. Shoot someone from 660+ yards. The highest peak at Twin Stack is the best place for this. Just pick off anyone driving by.
-
#7. Get 7 headshots in a row. You can miss, but not hit another body part. Use Dead Eye and take your time targeting. Best done during a mission with a big shootout from cover, such as this chapter's main story mission Preaching Forgiveness as He Went.

SURVIVALIST
-
#4. Craft all arrow types. Pamphlets for Improved, Fire, and Small Game are received automatically after starting Chapter 2, but the other two recipes must be found:
-
Improved. Arrow + Flight Feather. These feathers are found on any bird that isn't flightless (e.g., not on turkeys).
-
Small Game. Arrow + Flight Feather + Shotgun Shell. The shells are buyable at any gunsmith.
-
Fire. Arrow + Flight Feather + Animal Fat. The fat is found on ducks, boars, beavers, pigs, bears, and pheasants.
-
Poison. Arrow + Flight Feather + Oleander Sage. Oleander is found in the swamps along the Lannahechee. Pamphlet is bought from the fence or found at the Mysterious Hill Home in Ambarino, just across the border and northeast from Bacchus Station.
-
Dynamite. Arrow + Flight Feather + Dynamite. Dynamite is bought from the fence. Pamphlet is bought from the fence or found under the far-left bridge at the Wapiti Indian Reservation, at the very north of the map by the Calumet Ravine.
-

WEAPONS EXPERT
-
#5. Kill 5 mounted enemies with throwing knives. Easiest way is to piss off a random horse rider until they become an enemy (click "Antagonize" twice), and then do them with a single hit from an Improved Throwing Knife or a Poison Throwing Knife.
-
#6. Kill 4 enemies with a stick of dynamite. Find an O'Driscoll or Lemoyne Raiders camp. Run up to each gang member and hogtie them with your lasso; drink a health cure first because you'll take damage. Then amass them in one spot and toss the dynamite.
-
#7. Kill 4 enemies with the same tomahawk. Same strategy as above, but retrieve the tomahawk after killing each hogtied enemy. Alternatively, since you're gonna run up to them anyway, just do them with the tomahawk instead of hogtieing them.
-
Warning! You actually must kill five enemies, because the first one doesn't count. A tomahawk melee doesn't count, either: it must be thrown. Finally, use an Improved Tomahawk to ensure a one-shot kill.
-
-
#8. Kill 15 enemies with a long-barreled sidearm. Modify a pistol, revolver, or the sawed-off shotgun at the gunsmith by purchasing the long-barrel upgrade. Then you can use any ammo. I recommend the sawed-off shotgun with explosive slugs: one-shot one-kill.

MASTER HUNTER
Master Hunter Challenges #5-#10 are easier to complete in Chapter VI.

RANDOM ENCOUNTERS AND RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES
Rhodes Stagecoach Robberies
-
Available from Alden, the Rhodes station ticket clerk, after the main story mission Friends in Very Low Places.
-
North Scarlett Meadows. $40 reward for fencing the coach in Emerald Ranch, assuming you don't break any of the cargo.
-
South Scarlett Meadows. $25 in loot from the coach plus $10 if you loot the businessman.
-
Coach Convoy. $200 total from both coaches. As usual, don't grab the cash until you've looted all the guards and horses, because the crime will be magically reported when you get the first wad of cash.

Rhodes Gunsmith Robbery
-
$30 in cash register. Lancaster Repeater in a case in the basement.
-
You can steal all the ammo you can get your hands on in the store, but only on your way out, not before you go to the basement.
-
After the boy escapes, incapacitate or kill the gunsmith and loot him for a unique item: Son's Drawing.

Flat Iron Lake
-
Here's how to make this fun: dress up as an 1800s naturalist (like Charles Darwin in the Beagle voyage or Dr. Maturin from the Master and Commander books) and explore the islands with only a bow and a varmint rifle.
-
There's tons of birds, lizards, and plants, plus many water snakes that are a lot easier to kill than the land varieties.
-
Two unique items: the Tricorn Hat in the wreck on the large island and the Cat Eye Trinket in a lockbox on the southernmost island.
